"Foodie Choice" (hereinafter referred to as "this Application") is developed by HungChe Hsu (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). We highly value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and secure your information in compliance with Apple's App Store Privacy Manifest requirements and relevant regulations.

1. Information We Collect

To provide stable services, we collect the following information in accordance with Apple's Privacy Manifest guidelines:

• Account & Identification Data: When you register or log in, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture. This data is associated with your account and is used for App functionalities and cross-device synchronization.
• Precise Location Data: To offer nearby restaurant searching and navigation services, this Application requests access to your precise location. This data is only used to provide immediate search results and is never logged or used to track your long-term movements.
• Social & Gathering Information: When you use the group decision features, we collect your voting history, group schedules, and room participation data. This information is shared only among participants in the same room and is periodically purged after the gathering has occurred.
• Subscription & Purchase Information: To manage your "Foodie Pro" subscription status, we record your purchase status, plan type, and expiration date. The checkout process is processed entirely by Apple App Store; we never access, process, or store your credit card details.
• Device & Usage Data: This includes search history (used solely to calculate daily free search limits), favorite lists, device identifiers, and crash logs, which are used to optimize performance and protect security.

2. Data Security & Encryption

We employ industry-standard encryption techniques to protect your information:

• Encryption in Transit: All communications with cloud servers are established via secure HTTPS (TLS) connections.
• Local Storage Encryption: Sensitive user data on the device are stored securely using hardware-grade encryption.
• Cloud Security: Cloud databases are stored on Google Firebase and Supabase, which feature robust security frameworks and backup mechanisms.

3. How We Use the Information

• To provide, maintain, and optimize the service.
• To verify identity, ensuring account safety and accurate subscription entitlement.
• To provide personalized content (such as favorites folders and group voting statistics).
• To deliver push notifications regarding your voting updates or critical announcements.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraudulent behavior, or malicious cyber attacks.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We will never sell your personal data to third parties. We only share or process your data under the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We utilize Google Firebase for authentication, Supabase for real-time social databases, and Apple MapKit/Google Maps API for map services.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, or to cooperate with legitimate law enforcement investigations.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via in-app settings or by contacting the developer. Once you delete your account, all cloud-synced folders, voting records, and profiles will be permanently removed.

7. Children's Privacy

This Application is not directed to children under 13. If you discover that your child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us immediately, and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be announced inside the Application.
